There was a fantastic attitude shown by the players on Tuesday in our development game against Dagenham.

What helps keep these players hungry is that they know the gaffer is happy to change things around and give people a chance as he believes in them all.

All the senior players have played their part at some stage this season and we’ve added a
couple of more additions to the squad.

Michael Richardson and Ryan Williams have both settled in well and it looks as if they have been here for a couple of months already.

They have tuned into what we are trying to do and the rest of the lads made them feel welcome straightaway.

We do our homework on every player we sign, to make sure they do fit in. It’s about people making phone calls, talking and asking questions and going to see people.

The attitude of what you would call the senior players on Tuesday set the tone and the attitude of every player has been fantastic. Everything we’ve asked of them, they have done.

The players showed they are hungry and ready to push for the first team.

The players get told every day how important every one of them are because everyone has played this season and contributed.

Yes, we select a starting XI to go out there but how many times do the games change and people come on from the bench? They all have a part to play.

We are back on the road this weekend against a Chesterfield side who changed managers a couple of months ago and Paul Cook is starting to put his stamp on the team.

They have a few experienced players and are well organised. They try and play football and it will be a difficult test, as it always is when we go away.
