Gillingham will field at least two young trialists in their game at Ashford United on Wednesday night.
The Gills open their pre-season campaign with a trip to the newly formed Ashford at Homelands.
Boss Andy Hessenthaler (pictured) is looking to field all seven of his new signings and also hoping to make an impact will be trialist defender Jack Baldwin and striker Gregory N’Goyi.
Looking ahead to Wednesday’s game, Hessenthaler said: "Hopefully a decent crowd turns out to see the new Ashford team and the Gillingham supporters get to see our squad that we’ve built as well.
"The game may be a bit early for some players and some may not perform but it’s the first time out for the squad and we are looking forward to it.
"We’ve got a couple of young boys playing. Jack Baldwin is a left-sided centre half and the game will be a good test for him. Last year he was playing at Faversham and we will have a good look at him in training and in a game.
"We’ll also have a look at centre forward N’Goyi."
