Team changes are likely for Gillingham on Tuesday as they head to Stevenage in League 2.
Manager Andy Hessenthaler (pictured) will assess a few tired legs in his team and a stubborn opposition for the club’s first league game at Broadhall Way.
Hessenthaler said: "It’s not an easy game and we may have to pick a team accordingly – there could be changes.
"Sometimes you have to pick a team for who you are playing and we may need to freshen things up."
The Gills are in the middle of a hectic run of games and so far Hessenthaler has kept faith with the same team, unless forced into making changes.
"We need to regroup now and prepare right because it doesn’t stop," he said.
"We have a game against a side that, if you are feeling tired, they will certainly make it difficult for you because of the way they play. They are a strong team and rely a lot on set plays and they will grind you down."
Luke Rooney suffered with cramp against Aldershot on Saturday, while Josh Gowling was struggling with a virus. Mark Bentley and Garry Richards will be on standby to replace them, while Joe Martin could also start.
