Gillingham return to home soil on Tuesday to face a team encountering similar problems on the road.
Yeovil have lost just once at home but away from Huish Park they have won just once and picked up only six points in League 1.
Terry Skiverton’s side head to Priestfield feeling confident though after holding promotion chasers Charlton to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Gillingham boss Mark Stimson is likely to make changes from the team which lost 2-1 at Bristol Rovers, with Simeon Jackson poised to return to the side.
The 11-goal leading scorer started from the bench at the Memorial Stadium.
Stimson said: "There could possibly be changes and we’re at home and might set up different."
The Gills manager knows that the best way to get over a defeat like Saturday’s is to play again as soon as possible.
"As an ex-player you want to play every day," he said. "It will be nice to get the game on Tuesday with Yeovil at home. So far at home the record is good and we have to maintain that."
Out of favour defender Garry Richards remains sidelined with a groin injury.
