Gillingham will clinch the League 2 title if they win at Cheltenham this weekend.
But manager Martin Allen insists he won’t be dancing around on the sidelines if they do.
Cheltenham fans haven’t forgotten the 15-month spell when Allen was manager at the club.
Allen (pictured), who celebrated his first promotion as manager last weekend, took over an already struggling Cheltenham in September 2008 and was unable to save the team from relegation.
When he left the club in December of the following year, they were sitting 18th in League 2.

Allen said: "It is just ironic that it is back at Cheltenham. That is
"We have to make it a magical day but we have made no plans as a team or management for after the game. The bus will just be loaded up, as we always do, we will clean the dressing rooms as we always do and then head back to Gillingham and get ourselves ready then for the Wimbledon game.
"I would like the Wimbledon game to be the special one. That is the task. There won’t be any celebrations at Cheltenham."

Allen, being honest in his appraisal of his time at Whaddon Road, said: "I didn’t do a good job there and the last thing any of those people would ever, ever want is to see me dancing on the side of the pitch happy as
"I made mistakes at Cheltenham, there are no doubts about it. I changed too much too soon and I don’t think my personality and character fitted the club, which is a real shame."
"Whatever happens, I will conduct myself properly. I will show respect to everyone and will come in quietly and leave quietly.
"There is no doubt a small minority of supporters will give me some stick and if I was a supporter, I would probably do the same."
