The loan window closes on Thursday and Gillingham boss Martin Allen isn’t in the market for any new signings.
, Allen feels he has enough in reserve to get the job done at Gills.this week’s departure of loanee Antonio GermanDespite
And he is looking forward to working a little closer with some of the club’s younger prospects.
He said: "I gave it a lot of thought. Myles Weston is now fit and we have Danny Kedwell, Deon Burton, Adam Birchall and also Bradley Dack. So we have got five strikers.
"We have enough players in midfield, we are covered at centre-half and (Danny) East can play both full-back positions. I have got two goalkeepers, four centre-backs, three full-backs, four wingers, four central midfield players and five centre forwards. We do not need any more."
Young defender Devante McKain (pictured) has been recalled from a loan spell at Maidenhead United while Jake Hessenthaler, on a work experience placement with Blue Square Bet Premier Tamworth, can come and go whenever the manager pleases.
Allen said: "I think it is important for them now to spend more time and get into the routine of how we do things at first team level."
Maidenhead manager Johnson Hippolyte said: "It’s excellent news for Devante but bad news for us." McKain is expected to travel with the squad this weekend to Fleetwood.
