Defender Jack Evans has joined Blue Square Bet Premier Dartford on a month’s loan.

The 19-year-old (pictured) was told by Gillingham at the start of the month that he was no longer needed at Priestfield.

But the League 2 club retained his registration and have allowed him to link up with the Darts for an initial month.

He made just one appearance for the Gills this season, as a substitute in the Johnston’s Paint Trophy match against Crawley in September. He has previously made seven appearances for the club during the previous campaign.

The Gills have also allowed third year scholars Jake Hessenthaler and Nathan Nyafli to join Ryman League side Merstham on loan.
