Gillingham travel to Barnet on Tuesday and come face-to-face with former manager Mark Stimson.
Stimson endured a roller-coaster time at the Gills, with one promotion and two relegations, and is now manager at League 2 rivals Barnet.
Andy Hessenthaler, who replaced Stimson (below right) at the Gills in the summer, is hoping his players forget the sideshow and concentrate on their jobs.
"It’s an interesting game, because of Mark, but that’s all it is and it’s just another game," said Hessenthaler (pictured right).
"We know a lot about them and some of their players and Mark knows a lot about our players. We’re looking forward to it."
Hessenthaler watched Barnet lose to Charlton in a FA Cup first round replay last week, a game they could have won, and knows they’ll be on a high after beating Northampton 4-1 at the weekend.
"They had a fantastic win on Saturday and against Charlton I thought Barnet were the better team so it’s not going to be easy."
Hessenthaler’s biggest injury concern ahead of the game is Tony Sinclair, who took a knock on Saturday. Replacing him at the back would either be loanee Charlie Lee, or a return for youngster Callum Davies. Adebayo Akinfenwa was also struggling with a shin problem at Oxford and could be a doubt.
The Gills still have a long injury list but nearing a return is Curtis Weston and he could be back training today (Monday). Garry Richards is also set to resume training, but is still a long way off being fit. Luke Rooney returns to the club after a one-month loan at Eastbourne.
The game will see Gillingham assistant manager Ian Hendon return to a club he managed until April this year.
