It might be 31 games and counting but our panel of Gills fans remain confident that Gillingham's winless run away from Priestfield will come to an end at Accrington Stanley on Saturday. Here's what they think:

PAUL BLAKELEY

(Maidstone)

"There was a bit of an odd atmosphere at the end of the Southend game. I felt the second half performance warranted a decent reception but most were silent.

"We were carving out some good chances and could easily have won. Accrington are doing well, so it’ll be tough – but Cronin has improved and Weston showed signs of returning to the form we know he can achieve.

"The team needs to calm down, refuse to panic and stick to our passing game. I have a sneaking feeling we’ll nick a win and go on a run. "

Prediction: Stanley 0 Gills 1

JIM STAPLES

(Greenwich)

"Accrington seem to be the draw specialists of League 2, having taken a single point from six of their opening nine games. I’ll be happy with a point which I see as a worrying indication that my early season optimism has all but vanished.

"With the squad we have, I didn’t expect to be looking at this kind of fixture 10 games into the season and hoping to scrape a draw. "

Prediction: Stanley 2 Gills 0

SAM LIVINGSTONE

(Pangbourne)

"In the last two games we’ve kept clean sheets and the performances are starting to improve. Once we can get this away-day hoodoo off our back then we can really push on. Seven points from an available nine would be brilliant and I’m confident we can do it.

"I would like to see Hess keep faith with Inkango and also with Aborah, as they could be key. I’m sure we will score at least two, with Akinfenwa getting his first for a while and also Weston."

Prediction: Stanley 0 Gills 2

ALEX SARSON

(Wellingborough)

"Four points from two home games is OK – not great and not promotion form, though. A big problem in the Southend game seemed to be possession with the stats giving us 38 per cent of it. That is not good enough when we need to be controlling the games.

"Cody McDonald looked lively in the second half against Burton and I’m sure he’ll continue to be at Accrington."

Prediction: Stanley 0 Gills 2

ACCRINGTON FAN

Martyn Biddulph

"With just one goal conceded at home this season, Stanley are a stern test for visiting sides. Terry Gornell has settled in well since signing from Tranmere and has scored three goals.

"Stanley’s start to the season has been a vast improvement on recent years and we’ve looked a far more solid outfit.

"The new 4-2-3-1 formation looks to suit the players all over the park and two of the summer signings, Sean Hessey and Jon Bateson, have

been great at the back. Charlie Barnett has stood out for me so

far as the signing of the season up to now."

Prediction: Stanley 1 Gills 1
