The future of Gillingham midfield pair Danny Spiller and Bruce Inkango is set to be announced in the next few days.

Both players are awaiting news on whether contract extensions will be offered by manager Andy Hessenthaler.

The Gills boss has already decided on what he wants to do with both Spiller (pictured) and Inkango but must first meet with chairman Paul Scally before he can act.

Mr Scally flies back to England from Dubai at the end of the week, ahead of the match at Priestfield with Chesterfield, and Hessenthaler will be meeting with him to discuss the players’ future.

Hessenthaler said: "The chairman is back this week and that’s good news because we need to sit down and decide what we are going to do with the boys. They need to know themselves.

"Bruce’s contract is up next Monday and Danny is at the end of the month. We do need to make some decisions on them and I need to sit down with the chairman and look at the finances and see what we can do. There will be a decision made on both of them after the weekend."
