Gillingham Football Club are urgently seeking more volunteers to help clear the remaining snow from the Priestfield pitch.

Following Saturday’s clearance the snow remains piled up around the pitch perimeter and head groundsman John Plummer has issued another plea for supporters to bring a shovel and help.

The Gills face a home game against Brentford at Priestfield on Boxing Day and there is plenty of work needed before what is likely to be a bumper crowd for the fixture.

Helpers are required at the ground from 9am on Wednesday at the players’ tunnel on Redfern Avenue.
