Mark Stimson has confirmed Gillingham have resumed their quest to bring unsettled Charlton striker Chris Dickson to Priestfield.

The two clubs failed to agree on a permanent deal last week before the transfer deadline day last week, but Stimson says they have been back with another proposal, after the loan window opened for business again this week.

Stimson said: “We have put something to Charlton, and are waiting for an answer. It could happen in a day or a week. I am always hopeful, until I’m told no.”

Gills have received no enquiries for youngsters Luis Cumbers and Andy Pugh who they are prepared to loan out.
