Andy Hessenthaler believes his team are the ones the rest of League 2 will be looking to avoid.

The Gills boss (pictured) saw his side pick up points from promotion rivals Rotherham and Crewe last week to entrench themselves in the promotion mix.

Since losing to Crewe in mid-November the Gills have risen from 22nd to joint fifth with just two defeats in 15 and none from their last five.

"Nobody wants to play us at the moment because of the form that we’re in," said the Gills boss.

"It will be interesting to see how many points are needed for promotion and how many for the play-offs because at the moment it’s been thrown up in the air.

"There is no real consistency elsewhere. Over the last 15 games we have been the consistent side.

"Everybody in this league will slip up and Chesterfield (league leaders) are doing that themselves. We’ve only had two defeats from the last 15. That’s a fantastic return after we were all down in the dumps.

"Crewe was not an easy place to go and get a result but we will now have to win on Saturday against a Bury side who are good on their travels."
