Gillingham boss Martin Allen has urged fans to keep their cool.
Defeat at home to Barnet on Boxing Day saw some fans boo the team off the pitch but the players bounced back with a win at fourth-placed Southend on New Year’s Day.
Allen (pictured) wasn’t getting carried away with either result and hopes the supporters will do likewise.
His team are on the road again when they take on second from bottom Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Allen said: "Everyone said how bad it was to lose to Barnet but Barnet have only lost once in eight, so they aren’t that bad and they have some good players.
"Every game is a tough game. There are swings and roundabouts, ups and downs, twists and turns and it will be like it all the way through."
