Gillingham manager Martin Allen is relishing the prospect of facing Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday and believes it promises to be a magical night at Priestfield.
The second round meeting offers the Gills a chance to claim a second Championship scalp, after knocking out Bristol City at Ashton Gate a fortnight ago.
Allen, pictured, believes it is a tie that everybody should be excited about, rather than fear. Middlesbrough won at League 1 Bury in the previous round, and have tasted victory in two of their three opening league games.
Allen said: "It’s a big game for all of us, and people are telling me there’s apparently going to be a big crowd there, so that will be good. What fear can we have?
"They play really good football under Tony Mowbray, who loves passing the ball through the team, and have got some really dangerous players and some fantastic youngsters who have come through their academy.
"We haven’t really discussed the tie as a group yet, and I don’t know what team we are going to play, but whoever goes out there it’s going to be magical. Bring it on."
