Gillingham youngsters Alex Brown and Jack Evans are set to join Corby Town for a month.

Neither player have been in manager Martin Allen's first team plans and could make their debut for Corby on Wednesday night.

The Blue Square Bet North side are at home to Droylsden.

Evans (pictured) burst onto the scene last season under previous manager Andy Hessenthaler but has not featured in any of Gills' League 2 matches so far.

The 19-year-old right-back was an unused substitute at the start of the season in the Capital One Cup game at Bristol City and made his only appearance this season, as a substitute, in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Crawley Town.

Midfielder Brown was an unused substitute that game - the only time he has featured this season. His only Gills appearance came off the bench in the final game of last season against Morecambe.

On Saturday Corby are at home to Altrincham.
