Gillingham Reserves lost their Combination League match against Brighton 3-0 after conceding a trio of second half goals.
The Gills, watched on the sidelines by caretaker youth boss Bryan Bull, were made up of a handful of senior players and players from the youth team.
Lance Cronin, Danny Jackman (pictured), Josh Gowling, Luke Rooney, Dean Rance, Dennis Oli and Andrew White all made an appearance for the Gills at Priestfield on Wednesday afternoon.
Brighton boss Gus Poyet was in attendance and despite the Gills having numerous chances they came off second best to the Seagulls.
George Barker hit the post for Brighton in the opening half and Luke Rooney came close for the Gills, with a long range effort being tipped wide by the keeper.
Brighton took a 53rd minute lead through Agdestein and increaed their lead just past the hour with an own goal, as Callum Davies diverted a cross past Cronin.
There was a welcome sight in the second half when young defender Connor Essam came on with 15 minutes left as he continues his recovery from injury.
Andre Landell scored Brighton’s third and final goal.
