Gillingham will be staging one of their pre-season friendlies in Sittingbourne at the end of July.

The Gills were due to face Croydon Athletic at their Keith Tuckey Stadium on Saturday, July 31, but that is not fit for football.

Croydon’s pitch is currently undergoing essential repairs ahead of the new season and so have agreed to move the fixture to a neutral venue.

Sittingbourne’s Bourne Park venue will now stage the event, which kicks off at 3pm.

The Gills’ next pre-season friendly is on Tuesday night against Peterborough United.
