Five second half goals were scored by Gillingham's under-18 side as they coasted to victory in the John Ullmann Memorial Cup final.

Darren Hare's youth side faced Welling at Priestfield on Tuesday night.

Despite plenty of pressing in the opening half the Gills were unable to get on the scoresheet until early in the second.

George Humber opened the scoring and Bradley Dack added the second from the spot before Welling pulled a goal back through Josh Patrick.

Hopes of a comeback for Welling were ended as goals from Josh Hare, Humber and Nathan Nyafli sealed a 5-1 win.

Gills: Bourne, Maughan, Beale, Hessenthaler (Webster 75mins), Hare, Lee, Haysman (Freiter 67mins), Dack, Humber, Miller (Staunton 75mins), Nyafli. Subs not used: Blanchard, O'Neill.
