Andy Pugh has extended his loan spell with Blue Square South Welling for a second month.

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson confirmed: “He is going to extend his loan to get some football and we’ll have 24 hour call-back on that. If we need him back will call him and use him.”

Welling manager Jamie Day has made no secret of his admiration for Pugh, who was used as a lone striker in the Wings' FA Trophy defeat to Eastbourne Borsough on Saturday.

Pugh scored twice in as many games at the start of his loan spell at Park View Road but has not found the target in his last four games.

The new deal covers the Christmas double header with Bromley, trips to St Albans and Hampton and the home game with Weymouth.
