Charlie Allen celebrates his goal on Saturday Picture: Barry Goodwin

Hard work on the training ground paid off for goalscorer Charlie Allen on Saturday.
Allen confessed that his heading game was “weak” and so after much practice he was delighted to see it come good in Fleetwood.
His 43minute goal was the first he has scored professionally with his head.
Allen (pictured) said: “I had scored a few in the reserves and a few in the youth team when I was younger but it’s eluded me for seven or eight months so it’s nice to get back on the scoresheet with me head.
“I have been working hard with the assistant manager (John Schofield) to improve my heading, it has been a weak part of my game, so it was nice.
“For myself and John Schofield it was a good moment after working really hard on it at the training ground.
“We are out most days, throwing balls constantly, left foot leap and right foot leap and how to get your head on it perfectly. It sounds silly and like an easy skill but I was really bad with my heading.
“It used to be regular thing and now to have got one professionally and in such a big game to get that point was really nice.”
Allen has been involved for the last four games, having missed the previous six with a broken hand.
“It is still broken now but is okay to play with,” he said.
“It was a little knock back but I worked hard when I was out and so hopefully I will be back to my best as soon as I can for the run-in.
“Hopefully against Rotherham (tomorrow), if I play, I can continue with the performances that I have been putting in. I feel like I have been doing okay. We want three points from Rotherham now and take another step closer to League 1.”
