Gillingham’s game against Chesterfield at Priestfield has been called off.
Referee Darren Drysdale conducted a number of pitch inspections but deemed parts of the playing surface unplayable.
Covers had been laid since Wednesday afternoon, in anticipation of another batch of snow, but when removed on Saturday morning there remained patches of frost in both goal areas.
Snow began falling in the Gillingham area after 10am and there is more forecast for later in the day.
