Gillingham remain hopeful that Saturday’s game against Rotherham will beat the weather.

The Priestfield pitch is currently under a layer of snow but covers have been in place since the weekend.

The Met Office are predicting further light snow showers over Gillingham throughout the week, with sunny intervals on Saturday.

A club spokesperson said: "The pitch has been covered as a precaution since the weekend as we knew bad weather was coming.

"We’ll be making every effort to make sure Saturday’s game is on as planned."
