Gillingham’s only reserve match of the month has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

After December’s freezing temperatures caused havoc with the fixtures it was heavy overnight rain that led to the game against Crawley Town being called off.

The Combination League match at the home of Three Bridges FC was due to take place on Tuesday afternoon.

Boss Andy Hessenthaler was hoping to give the likes of Mark Bentley (pictured), Garry Richards, Stefan Payne, Luke Rooney and possibly Simon King valuable time on the pitch. The game will now be rearranged at a later date.
