Manager Mark Stimson will keep faith with the team that lost at Tranmere at the weekend for Tuesday night’s League 1 trip to Colchester.
The Gills boss (pictured) was keen not to press the panic button after an impressive attacking display was dented by individual errors at Prenton Park on Saturday.
He is hoping that his team can learn from their defensive mistakes and avoid back-to-back defeats for the first time since early April.
"It’s important to get some points on the board," said Stimson. "We’re going to try and keep a steady group (team) if we can.
"Everyone came through fit and we’re looking forward to that one.
"This time last week, everyone was happy and talking about some crazy things. I always knew it would be a long season with ups and downs.
"We have to make sure we go to Colchester and defend better than we did at Tranmere."
Stimson is also keen that his team continue to impress in the scoring stakes against a side that hit seven goals against Norwich on the opening day of the season.
"Hopefully there will be a lot of goals but we can come out winners," he added.
"They will cause us problems, scoring seven goals in their first game was a fantastic achievement."
