Gillingham remain hopeful of attracting a big name club to Priestfield to complement their already busy pre-season schedule.

The Gills have so far lined up 10 friendly matches against non-league opposition with all matches taking place away from home.

Manager Mark Stimson, however, is keen to see at least one high profile home match added to the list.

"We’ve sent out a memo to all Championship and Premiership clubs asking if they are available," he said. "Hopefully we can get a big game on at home for the supporters."

The latest clubs to announce games against the Gills are Croydon, on July 30 and Whitstable on August 4.

Pre-season games so far: Tonbridge Angels (July 11), Dartford (July 14), Faversham (July 16), Welling (July 18) Bishop’s Stortford (July 21), Aveley (July 22), Folkestone (July 25), Croydon Athletic (July 30), Thurrock (August 1), Whitstable (August 4).
