Gillingham manager Mark Stimson knows just how important an FA Cup run is and will be hoping the club can capitalise on Saturday's first round win.

The Gills strolled into the second round after beating Southend 3-0 and will now host League 2 Burton on Saturday, November 28.

Last season, Stimson’s side made it through to the third round and a money-spinning home tie against Aston Villa.

The Gills boss (pictured) is hoping for more of the same this season.

"It’s massive," he said. "The prize money was £18,000 on Saturday and that’s a lot of money to us. That allows us if possible to get another couple of players in for a month’s loan. That’s how important it is.

"The crowd came in good numbers on Saturday and we get a percentage of that. The more we get in the more it’s going to help us build a squad to make sure we stay in this division."

Second round winners receive prize money of £27,000.
