Gills season tickets selling well

Gillingham are on course to have a higher number of season ticket holders for the 2008/09 campaign.

The club have reported that 20 per cent of all season tickets sold so far are to new customers. The £50 season ticket, for fans aged 11 and under, has proved particularly popular.

A club spokesman said: "At this rate we would expect to exceed last years’ season ticket sales.

"This is testimony to the true loyalty and strong following that Gillingham very fortunately receives in the Kent area.

"The club would like to thank the fans for their continuing support."

The Gills, who are favourites to win League 2, had 3,500 season ticket holders last season.
