This lovely little ginger chap is the purr-fect addition to Sir Winston Churchill's former home.
After being chosen for a very im-paw-tant role, cute kitten Jock the Fifth has become Chartwell's latest feline flatmate.
According to tradition, there's always a cat living at the stately home in Westerham after Britain's wartime Prime Minister made a special request.
Before his death, Churchill asked that there would always be a cat with four white paws and a white bib "in comfortable residence".
And a 19 week old rescue kitten Jock is the latest to take up that role.
Churchill owned a marmalade cat that he kept at Chartwell which he named Jock, after Sir Jock Colville, one of his private secretaries.
Jock meant so much to Churchill that he attended many wartime Cabinet meetings with him.
And rumour has it that meals in the Churchill household did not commence until ginger tabby Jock was present at table.
Jock the Fifth was rescued by Cats Protection and then adopted by Chartwell's house and collections manager Alice Martin.
He's now settling in well to his new surroundings.
Alice said: "He is so cute and rambunctious!
"He sleeps on his side with his head on the pillow and loves searching around.
"Jock V lives at Chartwell in the top flat in the house and spends his time exploring and being pampered by the office staff.
"He has also developed an unlikely love of water and jumps into the sink at every opportunity."
Visitors will be able to see Jock V when the house re-opens in the spring.
