A 20-year-old woman was attacked and robbed as she walked home from a Kent nightclub.

She had left Escape in Margate in the early hours of the morning and saw a man of eastern European appearance outside looking at her.

As she passed through Arlington Square a man grabbed her around the waist and mouth and began tugging at her trousers.

She fought back, kicking and punching him, but he grabbed her mobile phone and handbag and ran off.

The incident happened soon after 3am on December 17 but detectives are now appealing for information.
