DEVASTATED parents of a teenager who died at her family home have paid tribute to "a gifted girl with a personality that could light up a room".

Hannah Bond, a 13-year-old pupil at Mascalls School, Paddock Wood, was found dead shortly after midnight on Sunday, September 23.

In a touching tribute, her parents, Heather and Ray Bond, of Old Road, East Peckham, spoke of their daughter's love of animals and had many friends across the country.

According to her parents, Hannah dreamed of becoming a veterinary nurse and was a high-achiever who scored merits in all her exams and competitions.

Her mother said: "Although Hannah had only just reached her teenage years, she managed to pack an enormous amount into her lifetime during which she made a wide circle of friends."

A relative added: "The whole family will miss Hannah's sparkling personality."

An inquest into Hannah's death has been opened and adjourned.
