A Mercedes driver is being hunted by police after hitting a teenage girl and then driving off from the scene.
The hit-and-run incident happened in Chaucer Road, Gillingham, yesterday.
But despite being thrown up in the air by the collision, the girl miraculously didn't suffer any serious injuries.
The incident happened shortly after 12.30pm when the 15-year-old, who is from the town, was crossing the road.
She was hit by what police belive is a black Mercedes saloon car turning into the road from Rainham Road.
The girl, who has not been named, was thrown into the air by the impact, but fortunately only suffered cuts and bruises.
She was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital but was released the same day.
PC George Shokar said: "It's extraordinary that the girl was not badly hurt in the collision, but she was obviously very shaken.
"We believe that the car involved was a black Mercedes, but we are unsure if it was being driven by a man or a woman.
"We would urge the driver of the car to come forward to help with our enquiries, or would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something.
"I would also like to remind motorists that there is no right turn into Chaucer Road from Rainham Road.
"A number of people are ignoring these signs and we will not hesitate in taking action against any motorist not following these rules.
"Motorists ignoring the no right turn are potentially putting people's lives at risk."
