A 21-YEAR-OLD man was assaulted and robbed by a gang of four youths near the Safeways supermarket in New Hythe Lane at Larkfield. One of the gang members was a girl and another a boy in his early teens.

The victim, from East Malling, near Maidstone, had a neck chain stolen in the incident which happened at about 11pm on Sunday.

Police are looking for four young people in connection with the attack, the youngest of whom is believed to be only 13 or 14 and around 5ft 1in tall. The involved girl is aged between 15 and 16. She is around 5ft 2ins tall. The two other attackers were white males aged between 16 and 18, one around 5ft 4ins tall.
