A 15-year-old girl managed to run to safety after a man tried to sexually assault her in Dover.

The victim took a short cut across a field near Edred Road when a man attempted to grab her from behind and pull down her jeans.

The offender is described as a white man aged in his 30s, around 5ft 10in tall and of medium build.

He was wearing a black t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms which had two red strips down the legs.
