Girl's 'abduction' may have been students' film project

POLICE believe that the alleged abduction of a teenage girl could have been a group of students filming for a project.

A female witness reported that she saw a girl aged around 14 or 15, being forced into a car in Horseshoe Lane, Langley, Maidstone, before being driven off at 4.15pm on Wednesday afternoon.

She described the car as a dark blue or brown Ford Fiesta-style car.

But local residents have told police they think it could have been students, although officers still need to establish the exact circumstances.

Police want to hear from any students who were filming in the area and are keen to emphasise that they are not in any trouble.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and ask anyone with information to contact Maidstone and Malling Police on 01622 604181.
