These two good samaritans saved a teenager when she was threatened by a man who got into her car.

The man and woman, who might be foreign students, went to the 18-year-old woman's aid when she screamed for help in Broadstairs.

The youngster, from Margate, had just got into her red car after work when a vehicle pulled up behind her in Oscar Road.

The driver of the other car got into her passenger seat before threatening her and demanding she drive away.

She shouted for help and banged on the window before the pair came over to help her at about 12.20am on Sunday.

The offender fled from the car and drove off in his vehicle. He is described as between 30 and 40, had dark brown hair and was wearing jeans and a dark t-shirt.

Kent Police said the woman was left very shocked, but not injured.

Detectives have now released this CCTV image of the pair who helped her in a bid for them to come forward.

DS Andy Chapman, from Kent Police, said: "The two people in the CCTV image had nothing to do with the woman being threatened but went to help her. We are hoping that they may be able to provide information that will assist us in tracing the man who put this woman through a very frightening ordeal.

"It is believed that there were other people in the area at the time and we would like to hear from them as well."

The two people or anyone who knows them is urged to phone Kent Police on 01622 654853.
