Gritters out as temperatures set to fall to -2C

Kent is set to shiver in temperatures below zero tonight, as November turns freezing.

The gritters will be out in force from 3am tomorrow, with the county facing its first chill of the autumn.

A Met Office weather forecaster said it will be "dry, cold and clear for most areas."

It will turn frosty overnight, especially in the east, with a chance of local fog patches, and temperatures plummeting to -2C.

Tomorrow could see an early fog, with the thermometer just nudging a maximum 11C.
