JEWELLERY including a Gucci watch is among £3,000 worth of property taken in a burglary at a house in Margate. Bulky items like a vacuum cleaner and a music centre were also stolen and police say it is likely that a car or a van was used to take them away.

Damage to a window and door to the house at St Francis Close is estimated at about £400.

The break in happened between 2pm and 10.30pm on Thursday, December 27.
