MAZDA has produced a special version of its iconic Mazda MX-5 for the winter months. The MX-5 Montana is equipped for adverse weather with standard equipment that includes a detachable hardtop, air conditioning and fog lamps.
Priced at £18,995 and based on the Mazda MX-5 1.8i, the MX-5 Montana is available in either Racing Green mica or Garnet Red mica with production being limited to 500 in 2002.
Further standard specification includes heated tan leather seats, tan carpeting, Nardi wood steering wheel, Nardi wood gear knob, wood look centre panel, cloth soft top, scuff plates, chrome inner door handles, remote central locking, 15 inch five-spoke alloys, metallic paint and a CD player.
The Mazda MX-5 has traditionally been kept for the summer when the soft top can be lowered and the driver can experience the thrill of “wind in the hair motoring”.
Now the Mazda MX-5 Montana is the perfect excuse for driving your classic sports car all year round with the handy hardtop always available to keep out the worst of the British winter.
Once spring arrives all that is needed is the simple removal of the detachable hardtop and open air motoring can once again be enjoyed in the British summer.
Th the occasional shower, or torrential rain and wind, can be be kept at bay with a useful, foldable cloth top.
With a limited production of just 500 vehicles this year the Mazda MX-5 Montana will be a much sought after vehicle.
