A TODDLER discovered wandering alone in Ramsgate town centre early this morning is to be reunited with her family.

The 18-month-old girl was in a distressed state when she was spotted at about 6.30am by a man in Boundary Road near the Aldi supermarket car park.

He alerted Thanet police and waited with the child until they arrived. The girl was put into the care of social services while police carried out inquiries in the area.

A police spokeswoman said: “The girl’s grandmother telephoned the police station at about 10am and we hope that the girl will be back with her family soon.”
