England captain and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is to appear in front of a very different crowd when he takes on the job of reading a Cbeebies Bedtime Story.
Following in the footsteps of Harry Styles, Rose Ayling-Ellis and the new Princess of Wales, England's number 9 is to read The Lion Inside by Rachel Bright on Monday evening.
The bestselling story follows a shy little mouse who sets out on a journey to find his roar, showing young readers that the smallest of creatures can have the heart of a lion.
The BBC says the book, which is illustrated by Jim Field, is one the footballer chose himself as it is a favourite among his own young family.
It's themes of friendship, confidence and self-esteem also help to mark today's World Mental Health Day, says the Cbeebies channel, which has a theme this year of 'Making Mental Health and Well-Being for All a Global Priority’.
Harry, who has two daughters and a son, will appear on Cbeebies at 6.50pm while the episode is also available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
The 29-year-old's appearance follows his team's 1-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend, where he scored the game's only goal, while there is just a little over a month to go until he captains the England team at this year's World Cup in Qatar.
Harry said: "One of my favourite things to do is sit down with my children before bedtime and read them a book. I enjoy this quality time with them. They especially love the book The Lion Inside so they will be extremely excited to hear this!"
