Ward Homes says levels of interest in its part exchange service are at a new high.
It is because of the difficulties homeowners experience when they try to sell their own home.
More and more homeowners are taking advantage of market conditions to move to a larger, better quality home while side-stepping the problem of finding a buyer for their existing property.
The Alexander family from Sittingbourne were among those to take advantage of the Ward Homes Part Exchange service.
Dwayne and Louise Alexander, along with their two children, Liam and Leah, previously lived in a three-bedroom home on Milton High Street.
As their family grew, the couple were keen to upsize but aware of the difficulties currently faced with buying and selling, were cautious of selling.
Thanks to the part exchange scheme, the family were able to move hassle-free from their detached property, which they purchased for £62,000 in 1999, to a four-bedroom home at Eden Village in Sittingbourne, worth £240,000.
"The scheme with Ward made moving so easy, they gave us double the value of what we paid originally, enabling us to put £143,000 towards our new home," said Louise.
"Our previous home was a lot smaller. Poor Liam had a tiny room and the garden was what can only be described as the size of a postage stamp! Our new home is perfect for all our needs and has a lovely community feel, even Buster the dog is happier."
For added peace of mind buyers can also benefit from Ward Homes' exclusive five-year guarantee on fixtures and fittings in their new home at the time of purchase.
