Dozens of rifles, firearms and pistols have been handed in during a fortnight-long weapons amnesty.
The so-called surrender has been hailed a success in Kent, after more than 70 weapons were handed in.
The national campaign ended last Friday, with a total of 73 firearms and a quantity of ammunition handed in by members of the public.
These included 16 shotguns, 21 air rifles and eight handguns. Ammunition including pellets and shotgun shells were also given in.
Kent Police Assistant Chief Constable Jo Shiner said: "The two week surrender has been a great success with more than 70 firearms and a quantity of ammunition handed in to us. These can now be safely disposed of.
"It has been very pleasing to see so many members of the public take advantage of our surrender scheme and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for getting in touch.
"Our focus is to make communities safer and by removing firearms which are no longer wanted, it stops them falling into the wrong hands."
