The KM Group's Song for England competition is being backed by top DJ Dave Berry.
The 32-year-old, who hosts the breakfast show on Xfm, is urging people to send in their anthems backing our boys in South Africa.
We've teamed-up with competition sponsor Kent Adult Education and Bobbing-based Demelza hospice care for children in our mission to find Kent's number one football song.
We're encouraging musicians of all talents to record their anthems and stand a chance of winning a professional recording session and a music video.
These songs will be short listed before readers of KM Group newspapers and listeners of kmfm can text vote for their favourite.
South Londoner Dave, whose is engaged to Heidi from the Sugababes, has worked in television and radio for nine years.
He got involved with Demelza in 2007 through his love of Charlton Athletic.
He met representatives from the charity at the club's Christmas party and jumped at the chance of becoming a patron.
Dave says people should definitely get involved in the competition for two reasons: The profits from the text voting go to Demelza and the song may propel its creators to stardom. You might even end up appearing in the video with him.
He believes England can make it to the final of the competition, but doesn't want to think about what would happen then.
He said: "I just want to sit down with some beers, enjoy the 90 minutes of football and hopefully listen to a great new world cup anthem."
Dave doubts whether Heidi will fancy a bash at entering as she is too busy with other work at the moment - and "doesn't know anything about football".
"She leaves the football up to me and the great people of London and Kent," he said.
Demelza chief executive, Ted Gladdish, said: "We are delighted that the KM Group has chosen to support Demelza in this way.
"Kent's Song for England is a chance for football fans to have a bit of fun as well as support a local charity.
"Every donation enables us to reach out to more families who need our help across the area. So record your song for Kent and for Demelza."
Kent Adult Education marketing manager, Samantha Stonham, said: "Kent Adult Education is backing this fantastic competition because it is a great example of people taking part in something different, like many of our adult education courses across Kent.
"This competition is offering someone an amazing prize, which most people will only dream of. Everyone should have a chance to fulfil their dreams and this will certainly provide someone with that. Give yourself a helping hand and take a look at Kent Adult Education's music and performing arts courses."
