St Andrews Park, a £75 million lakeside development of 385 family homes and apartments by Redrow has been launched with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Kerry Jenkins, of Redrow Homes, says: “We’ve already had a phenomenal response to the launch, with more than 300 people visiting the development and strong interest in many of the properties.

“The high demand here certainly reflects the optimism the banks, analysts and industry bodies are showing in the housing market and its recovery thanks to improved mortgage affordability, low interest rates and Help to Buy.”

St Andrews Park will eventually feature 385 properties, from one-bedroom apartments to luxury four-bedroom detached houses, including 96 affordable homes.

The development will transform the site of the former Cemex factory beyond recognition, providing new homes next to the blue lake, an old chalk quarry fed by a large spring and given its bright blue colour by the chalk particles suspended in the water.

Combining Arts and Crafts inspired traditional exteriors, the properties are all from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection. Homes feature contemporary interiors with an emphasis on open-plan spaces for modern family living and kitchens incorporating top brand name appliances.

Prices range from £175,995 to £399,995.

St Andrews Park has good commuter links, with the M20 and M2 both about three miles away and London just 32 miles away. Trains from Halling station reach London in little over 45 minutes. The village itself has a Post Office and local shop while Bluewater Shopping Centre is just 13 miles away.

For more information visit the development, which is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. Alternatively call Redrow on 01634 780240 or visit www.redrow.co.uk
