Rail passengers were warned to expect delays of up to 25 minutes this afternoon.
It comes following an earlier power supply problem on the high speed service to and from London.
Southeastern said the issue which led to electrical tripping had been resolved but the earlier problems had been causing delays.
The electrical supply problem was reported at 2.50pm with trains cleared to run at full speed into London at around 3.05pm but trains from the capital were being held.
The problems were reported between Ashford and Ebbsfleet.
Delays and cancellations were expected but all services returned to normal just after 4.30pm.
A statement on National Rail said: "At present trains are unable to run on the High Speed line from London because of electrical tripping, trains towards London from Ashford have now been given permission to run again."
