A pair of keen growers have bought out their favourite bulb supplier.

When George and Rose Clowes failed to receive the latest P de Jager and Sons catalogue, they rang the East Sutton-based business to find out why.

They discovered that the 140-year-old business had been put up for sale - and decided to come to its rescue.

Now they have pledged to maintain its traditions, while also launching a new website to give the business a modern edge.
