Welling's immediate future has been secured after HMRC have confirmed that they will dismiss the second winding-up petition against the club.
The Wings were due in court on Wednesday over an unpaid tax bill, believed to be in the region of £20,000.
But Welling announced that they cleared the debt. A club statement said: "The club is pleased to advise its supporters that it cleared the petition debt with HMRC on Monday and has received confirmation via its solicitors that HMRC have agreed to seek dismissal of the Winding Up Petition (that the Club was due to defend on Wednesday).
"The club wishes to express its gratitude to all of those who have worked towards this successful conclusion not least of which was the contribution of its supporters.
"Now seems an opportune time for all to refocus and start building for a more successful season, both on and off the field."
Manager Jamie Day has already secured the services of four of last season's squad and is hoping to tie up two more players later this week as negotiations continue.
