Homes required for pint-sized ponies

THE RSPCA is looking for permanent homes for five pint-sized ponies each less than three feet tall. The little horses include one grey Falabella stallion - an Argentinian miniature pony - and four chestnut and bay miniature Shetland pony mares.

All five, which can go to separate homes, were given to the charity by their previous owner, who needed to reduce the number of animals in her care. They have been looked after by the RSPCA in Sussex but now the society would like to find permanent new homes for them.

RSPCA equine vet David McDowell said: "It is vital we find owners who have the experience and resources to provide them with happy permanent homes."
