A horse trailer which is vital to the work of Riding for the Disabled has been stolen.
The green double Ivor Williams trailer, with the logo of Cobbes Meadow Riding for the Disabled group on the side, was taken from New House Lane, Thanington, on Tuesday night.
It is believed thieves removed locked gates to get to it.
Cobbes Meadow trustee Catherine McCully said: “The trailer is vital to our group as without it we cannot get the horses to the centre for people to ride.
“Its’ value is about £2,000 but it is worth much more than that to us as without it we cannot operate.”
Anyone who can help the group with horse transport should contact Mrs McCully on 01227 700514.
Information about the theft should go Canterbury police on 01227 762055.
